DECT & IP DECT Systems
DECT & IP DECT systems have more functionality and range than DECT analogue. We have installed systems at customers sites such as British Plasterboard (BPB) & Somerset House, with over 12 acres of coverage.
Base stations are strategically located to ensure coverage across the site, and handsets can roam freely across base stations. With the DECT & IP DECT systems, other options are also available, such as ruggedised, waterproof & intrinsically safe handsets.
Analogue DECT Systems
Normally used in a home/small office environment, the range, quoted as 300 metres, is in reality 50 - 150 metres. These handsets connect to telephone systems via a basic analogue extension, the same connection as a basic home phone, or fax/modem.
With these phones, the base station and charger are normally in one unit. These DECT phones have limited functionality and coverage when connected to a telephone system, but are very cheap, and allow you to try DECT before committing to a fully integrated DECT system. Basic DECT phones of all makes can also be connected to DECT systems (see below) using the European DECT standard GAP, but will offer no more functionality.
Mobile phones
Mobile phone's which can twin with your office handset, and allow you to take calls on either, transfer calls between them, and even have some of the functionality of your telephone system on your mobile, such as the ability to page, pick up calls from groups etc.
